Presented by Ms Margaret Fong, Deputy Executive Director, and Mr Billy Wong, Senior Economist, Hong Kong Trade Development Council

Members are encouraged to attend this unique event by HKTDC exclusively for T.E.N. members to gain valuable insight into selling into China.

Besides highlighting a number of evolving consumer trends, Mr Wong will also present a selection of 30 mainland cities with large market potential. As well, Mr Wong will discuss some salient developing features of the consumer market of these cities, such as the dynamics of different commercial districts, as urbanisation continues to unfold on the mainland.

The presentation time will also feature a brief introduction to the HKTDC and an overview of its business services.

After the presentation, the session will continue in an interactive Q & A format where members and guests are encouraged to discuss relevant issues with our guest speakers.

About our speakers:

Ms Margaret Fong
Deputy Executive Director, HKTDC

Ms Margaret Fong is the Deputy Executive Director of the HKTDC in charge of promotion. Ms Fong has worked in a variety of public service posts, beginning her career as an Administrative Officer with the HKSARG From 1997 to 1999, she served as Deputy Director-General in the Washington DC Economic & Trade Office of the Hong Kong Government. Before joining the HKTDC, Ms Fong was the Commissioner for Tourism from Nov. 2008 to the end of 2009. She is a graduate of the University of Hong Kong.


Mr Billy Wong
Senior Economist, HKTDC

Mr Billy Wong is a Senior Economist, Greater China at the HKTDC. He is responsible for China market research and has been with the HKTDC since 1996. Before joining the HKTDC, Mr Wong worked in the Strategic Development and Research Department of Standard Chartered Bank. He holds a Master’s degree in Economics and a Bachelor’s degree in China Law.
