We are very pleased to announce that John Mak, Founder & CEO, MI Asia, will be presenting at TEN on Thursday 17 March.

John will talk about his challenges and frustrations, successes and mistakes in starting and expanding a successful company in the media services sector in Asia.

After John’s presentation, the session will continue in an interactive Q & A format where members and guests are encouraged to discuss relevant issues with our guest speaker.

This event is FREE for TEN MEMBERS and HK$100 for non-members and guests.

About our speaker:

John W. C. Mak
Founder & CEO, MI Asia Limited

John Mak is the CEO of MI Asia, the holding company of Magazines International Subscription Services, MI Membership Services and MI Kids Early Learning Products.


He brings 30 years of management experience in various industries including information technology and database marketing.


John was the IBM sales director in the Banking Industry for over 15 years.  In 2000, he was the president of Delano Asia Pacific company to lead the CRM business in Asia.

In 2004, he had an opportunity to acquire a company in the magazines subscription business and to realize his entrepreneur spirit.  He applied his experience in information technology, sales management and CRM skills into the company, led the company from solely magazines subscription business into a multi-products target marketing company.  He also expanded the business regionally into Thailand and Taiwan. 

John earned his degree in Computer Science and Business Administration from the University of Waterloo, Canada.
